Is the white car the infamous “Taiwan Am”?

No this was a white 70 4 speed blue standard interior no option car. I really like the 70 white and you cant go wrong with the blue standard no console look.

I always liked the non-console look, especially on the 1970 model. I think the low-back buckets and no console have an "all business" look to it.

Thanks for the update. The money for that 71 is nothing spectacular. Does that include the buyers premium? |

Although I didn't get to BJ this year. I got a lot of feedback from people who did. It was well attended and Pontiacs including the Early TAs did well.
To make predictions of Musclecar fading in 5 years is a bit silly. MCACN and car auctions with musclecars are big draws today.

LOL, don't think the muscle car movement is going to fade in 5 years. Where did that come from?
You're correct, they are, and have been for a coupe decades, the biggest attraction at these cars auctions. They define a pivotal time in Americana. I don't see them ever losing popularity, certainly not in my life time anyway. |

/\ Although I agree with the spirit of your post, I can also see the values sliding when the generations before me pass;
Very few people my age or younger (at this time) show a keen interest in 1970's & older vehicles - they acknowledge they are cool, but show no practical interest. |

My feeling is the ones that are expensive now will continue to be pricey, and the ones that are cheap now will continue to rise in price as they get older. And the saga continues, lol. I look at the prewar stuff from the 20's 30's and 40's which is what Barrett Jackson got their start with in the 1970's. Prices of that stuff hasn't slid at all, I'd say they cost even more now. And the old geezers that appreciated those cars aren't likely around today.....But the cars are still bringing in the money. |
