"Front Bumper Panel" wonder what that is?
(on window sticker)

Steel valence instead of plastic?

Very cool car...
But I agree -- at that asking price, I haven't wasted any time looking to see how far of a drive it might be to Freeport, IL

Can't be that. The car has a plastic valance panel. Copy the front end pic & blow it up a bit. Clearly not a steel piece.

Maybe the plastic filler panel between the core support and the bumper? Just a guess.

That could be it.
I never noticed it as a separate listing, thought it was included in the AC option. It is no charge though, so just spelled out more on the sheet.

That is an unusual order one for sure. Same money with a couple less options would get a F400 when new. A tach to monitor a 7.7 to 1, 2V, single exhaust 350 is, well, different. That would be a great car for a build platform, but not at nice F400 price. Tranny would be Saginaw.

Being the Esprit guy, I look for the little tidbits. while not saying bad news , they make one look deeper.

The 350 emblem in grille under Pontiac is gone.

My trunk bird is solid red all middle and original. This looks 73 style......

Norwood said on wheel..........

Exhaust downturn would be cut to stick gaudy tip on.

Dash vent chrome is kinda bad for 20K

Just saying, not putting down car.

Cruise control on 4 speed? It is ticky tacky on turn signal, that must be annoying.

The Filler panel was ordered. It was no cost and some dealerships had them in the parts room and put them on cars under warranty with cooling issues. I have one on a NON AC car and it really works well.
Rare to see it on a Window sticker. On a 1970 Core support, the top plate is pre drilled for these. Since the top plate area where it mounts is 2 sheets of metal a tech still needed to drill the bottom plate. This made it fit perfect and went on fast.

That Bumper Panel "option" is Sales Code 901 which I do not find a reference to anywhere. But usually the three digit number codes referred to paint and/or trim colors. For an example, code 901 for '74 Firebirds indicated Red Morrokide interior trim. obviously not the case with this '72.

But let's not put too much stake in that window sticker being a correct original. '72 was a bit tricky year since there was a mid production change in window sticker forms. The early form was very similar to the '71 form and the late '72 was a close match to the '73 form with red across the top. If Mike Noun sees this, hopefully he will chime in with his (superior) knowledge & experience on this. To me, it appears this Esprit with a partial VIN of N5314xx (not all readable) would make this one of the last '72 Firebirds built before the Norwood strike, which started April 7th (a Friday). I've found very few 04A '72's and nothing later. So I'd say this Esprit should have the late '72 W.S. form, making the one pictured a repro not of Mike Nouns making.

Better yet, I would love to see the PHS. This is a pretty cool car. If this weren’t an Esprit the total options would challenge mine for total options. Regardless, it looks to be in great condition, although no underhood or underbody pics are provided. I’d love to have this car for $20k..

It's not a third member it's a wired cruise control fob connected to the turn lever.

That's a really nice car!

Decent looking car.......but too much air.....in the rear springs....

At 10k.....I 'd say it's realistically priced.......
