You mean 1971 Formula? Trunk pix with spatter looks so clean. Bringing bids and interest.

anyone document the radio. is it period correct or added later in life? my thinking (may not be accurate) is that it would have had to have been added when new or they would not change a radio later in life on a totally original low mileage car.

Looks like a cassette tape player/ radio combo with aftermarket speakers and CB antenna base at trunk........ my guess probably not original.

Go check it out just for fun. Love to see better pix of the engine details. Notice the ac relay is silver. Thought they were black. Alternator looks closed faced? Thought they were open in 71?

Coolant sticker on rad shroud. Etc...

I know its not original. just curious as to was it available back in 71. I seriously doubt a car with only 7k miles had a radio change later in life. I can buy it if it was done when new.

Hard to say on the radio. Panasonic with AM-FM, DX/LOC, FF and EJ buttons, plus one other one. Why would you purchase one with no presets? And, the tape player looks to not have auto reverse (so that may date it). Car came with an AM PB from factory. He needed a Sparkomatic to add to the car.

From the seller's ad text:
Engine Compartment: Completely original with the exception of the alternator (replaced in the 80's) plugs and wires (originals come with the car).

Check out the door jam. It was painted. Striker has paint on it, and the radio being changed. That's a red flag in my book at that price.

The F body door latch and strikers were installed and adjusted prior to paint.

My Formula has original paint in jambs and my strikers are painted as well as door latch. The radio is aftermarket and pretty easy to see. Also easy to change if needed.

Personally, Not seeing a lot of red flags?
