A body rear spring help. #167 spring rate?
Looking to replace rear springs in a '71 that sits a little high out back. The ride seems good with a variable rate spring rated at #158.
My choices are : A constant rate spring @ #122 which seems a little soft (on paper) A Variable rate rated at #167 which might be a little harsh? The #167 is not much more that #158, maybe I couldn't tell the diff but I am not looking for a buck board. This is GMC Sprint which is normally empty in back. Any thoughts?

Are the current springs old and worn out? Are you opposed to cutting them to achieve the ride height you want? I like the ride in mine with convertible springs cut to the desired height.

Looking to replace newer rear springs. Wish I could cut a double pigtail spring!

Removed the Moog CC507s & installed Moog 5413s. Spring rate is #167.
Time to put some miles on & see. Car sits level, maybe the caster has improved?
