Thumbs up Pontiac only parking too

Just to add to what wa said above, there is a Pontiac parking only section in the infield that is sponsered by both the Hurricane and Dixie chapter POCI clubs. It normally is located just west of the tunnel. Normally there's probably 50-75 Pontiacs parked there on Friday and Saturday

Last year was 1st time for me.

And I did see the Pontiacs there.
It was great seeing them.
Tons of parts around the grounds.

Cool place to go to.

I will be there. Not sure which car. Maybe drive the 67 GP or the "new" 69 Lemans. I might even bring the GTO out of "retirement".

Turkey Rod Run- Such a world of rusty chevy parts, that you would have thrown away 10 years ago. Still a fun event.

I don't waist my time in the swap meet anymore. Too much junk to find anything worth having. No bargains unless someone shows up to sell for only the day. All the "good" stuff is snatched up by other vendors during set up.

I go to see the cars and meet people. You hear more stories and occasionally a good lead or two. I also enjoy browsing the car corral.

Going to attend on Friday. A few other members will be going that day too. Have my Pontiac parking pass. Will be driving the 67 GP up. Who else is going?

Mark - I may finally go. Can you give me a call this eve?? Left a message at your house. But figured you were out for the day. Just have a few questions about the event.

Nope. Do not know him. The car had Florida tags. I think it was over on the west coast of Florida. I am not a SD expert but it seemed the real deal and appeared to have just enough wear to be 10,000 miles. It had a red interior.

Amazing someone only put 10,000 miles in all these years!

I do recall overhearing a conversation with what appeared to be the guys wife. They were commenting that someone had looked at the car several times and seemed serious about buying it.

I went Friday and Saturday. Walked non-stop from 9 am to about 330 both days and did not even come close to seeing everything. This was my 3rd year in a row going and this is the most I have ever seen there. Not too many 69 Birds though.
