It did run the Mopars and continued its success. The first and only time they ran G/S in '72 was INDY. The car was really consistent and won everywhere it raced in SS/K, SS/I and G/S.

Thanks for sharing history of the car! I always like it when the little guy steps up and rains on the big boys parade!!! Kinda like when Smokey put his Chevelle on the Pole at Daytona. The Dodge and Ford boys were highly uphappy...it got better, they were REALLY unhappy when they found out the Smokey's engine wasn't even a 427, ..LOL...it was like a 404 or 411, can't remember. Smokey always had an awesome touch with rubbing the competition's nose in a pile of...........
