Default WFO Air cleaner with Quadrajet Carb

I plan on running a WFO air cleaner with a Quadrajet carb and Edelbrock Performer RPM intake on a '78 Trans Am. I have researched some and a lot of people seem to use a Holley with the WFO setup. However, I will be running a Quadrajet. Does this setup work with a Quadrajet with an electric choke? Are there any problems that I might run in to? Thanks for any input.

John I have a Qjet with electric choke and a WFO I'll throw together tonight and see, on a regular drop base I had to drill a hole for the Q jet vent tube.

There should not be problem with Q-jet with electric choke. It's tucked in close to the carb body.
However, a hole will have to be bored for the vent tube.
There is clearance issue with the WFO when using the Carter/Edelbrock AFB with the rearward electric choke location.

It may not clear if you don't use the correct electric choke. Many being sold "clock" with the terminal up instead of down. I get carbs in here all the time that have been converted to E-choke using the wrong one so it's 90 degrees out of phase, not down at 6 oclock like it's supposed to be.

Below is a pic of the one I've been selling nearly 20 years now. USA made part, lifetime Warranty and it clocks correctly and works like it's supposed to (release time).......Cliff

Thanks Cliff. I'll be sure to order the correct choke coil from you when the time comes.

Test fit and the electric choke should be OK just need a vent tube hole.

As long as the plug is on the bottom of the choke like Cliff's picture should be close but fit.
