Rarity + Desirability = $$$$

Anybody want to venture a guess how many of these got tossed in the first year or two? I think this is a case where demand outstrips supply.
My 71 has a build date of 09A. The prevailing wisdom here was I needed KN's to be correct. They're dated 7/21/70. Anybody have a data base on, or know the earliest build dates for '71 birds w/15" Rally II wheels coming off the line in Norwood?

And the pair of 4/6s in September.

I'm surprised the 1/27 went has high as it did considering the scallop damage to the lug holes -- that will need to be repaired.

I was surprised the 3/9’s lasted as long as they did. I couldn’t get a good enough view of the lug holes to tell but at least one looked like it was toast. That kept me out of it.

Idk, but I’ve seen oct of 70 dated JW’s. Pretty damn. Late to be still stamping JW wheels since it’s well into the 71 model year

Yes but you didn’t add the tax eBay now charges nor the fact that someone is gonna eat the shipping as it was stated at 60 bucks. All in all I’d say with tax and shipping around 3200 bucks

That’s 3 times what I paid for my 70 T/A. I finally found a spare 1/26 JW for it this spring. The guy selling it told me he knew what it was worth and would not budge on the price. I gave him his $85.00 and left with a smile on my face.It had never been bolted on a car.

Sounds like my 69 Trans Am alternator I found at a swapmeet. I see it from across the way and say no way. Walk up it’s laying all by itself in the center of his spot ironically. I picked up and the old man says “it works, I pulled it off my 40 ford just last week for a chrome one”. Ok, how much? 20 bucks he says, I didn’t have the heart to offer him 15. I payed and walked straight to my truck and put it behind the seat under a towel.

In the later part of the 1980's , they (JW) were retailing for around $100 each in good used condition.

There was one that sold yesterday for a Buy It Now of $375. Single rim needing to be redone.
