Anybody have an exploded diagram of a 1962 steering column?
Hoping to get mine disassembled for paint and refurbished.. Anybody have a diagram handy?
Guessing it is tough to find a lower bearing?

Automatic or column shift? Here's a diagram of a steering column for an automatic car from my 1961 parts book, which I think should be the same as 1962. Item 32 on the diagram is described as a "adapter assembly, steering shaft lower bearing". It's part number 5675170, which fits all full size Pontiacs from 1961 to 1964 except any with a tilt wheel (which wouldn't apply for 1962 anyway.)

I have a floor shift column and a column shift.
Thank you for posting that!

Sort of on the subject. Is there any source for turn signal switches for 61-62 big cars? Mine is fine today but I know it's going to die at some point. I can't find any aftermarket support for that switch, or any NOS ones that are within the price range to buy one for a spare. Thanks in advance.
