Default Header

Prepping to build a 461 for my 69 Catalina wagon. Looking to make 500+ hp on pump gas and need to find headers..
Is there anything that will work with Dports or round ports? I'm going with alum. Heads and not sure which I can find headers for. ??

Are you apposed to the large RA manifolds? I’m gonna try a pair on the C10 that I’m building. Years ago a local guy was running an all steel ‘69 GTO with an iron headed 455. Ran low 12s at 3000ft. He said he took off the RA manifolds and put on 1 3/4” headers and seen no improvement at all.

If you go with RA manifolds, keep in mind that the full size cars used the long branch manifolds and not the A-body style.

Thank you. That's good info! I would be pissed if I bought the wrong ones...

Headers for a 67-69 Firebird will work
or the LongBranchers

If you go RoundPort heads - Headers are the only affordable option
RoundPort LongBranchers are for millionaires , if you can even find a a pair

Scott you are in luck.
A pair of the RoundPort LongBranch exhaust manifolds available on eBay.
Hentooth/Froghair merchandise.

How badazz would that be to have a 69 Fullsize with factory RoundPort set up.

and less than a million - only $1800 USD

https://www.ramairrestoration.com/lb...y-headers.html

I have these on a ‘66 Catalina with KRE D ports. Very nice quality and no leaks like headers. Wish they still made round port versions, need a pair for a ‘63 Safari project.
Those original eBay ones are a bit overpriced . . .

privileged merchandise these days
hard parts to find since the 80's.

i know that guy
i bet i could get a $20 discount

If you could buy them outside of eBay and PayPal revenues , probably get a 250-300 discount picked up in person.

About 250 in fees on 1800
and buyer would have sales tax too (another 125+)
