Default 65 GTO - epay

Curious why this car has "red seat belts" with a parchment interior?

Any ideas?

Aftermarket seat belts is my guess - just like the package tray speakers.

I agree they may have been added later?

The Red seatbelts are not aftermarket but Pontiac #624 (custom, retractable). They are not listed on the window sticker.

Also the Red floor mats are not shown on the sticker.

He liked Red!

Thumbs up Survivor

Asking price is real HIGH!

Cool car with Original Paint and low miles.

Install the Original Custom Wheel Disc Covers, AM Radio, new Package Tray and this 65 would be real nice.

Absolutely love the House and Property in this ad!

A lot of effort went into getting that property to be the way it is. Assume the car would have similar attention. Location, location, location.

Tom V.

ps price way too high but for a 4 BBL car really nice and unique.

YA, probably went with the red seat belts for the contrast with the white seats. It looks good that way IMO.

Default Switch?

Is that some type of anti-theft switch in the ash tray?

Generally not a fan of red cars, but this combo is perfect for a 65!

If a tobacco pipe can be used for a anti-theft switch.....cool!

I like the car and agree with the comments......That's a 'Missouri Meerschaum' in the ashtray.....a corncob pipe! (used to smoke pipes back in the day). The paint on the leading edge of the hood does not appear original to me....it's a touch up that is now failing years later. Nice car, though.....but priced at least double what it's worth.

The Grandma's Theme in the back seat has to GO, while at it throw the pipe out too

Ended auction. I can only assume it was a no sale. Yeah, kinda have to agree that the throw pillows, lap robes, stuffed animals, and corncob pipe kind of clash with the red seat belts and Cragars!

Default options

Interesting that nearly half of the listed "options" were standard equipment. Guess to make it look more of a deal to the uninformed.
