Disagree. I've seen a lot of cars go for reasonable prices on the site.

You are dead on correct !!

I wanted to update this with my experiences. My auction is live right now and I have nothing but good to say so far. Great communications from their rep and decent feedback/bidding at this point. My only complaint would be that they have about a 5 week wait time to get your car listed at this point so if you're in a hurry, you might want to try elsewhere.

Yeah, I just submitted my 2009 Mustang GT with Whipple supercharger and suspension and braking upgrades 487 rwhp mostly stock appearing, Shelby GT500KR wheels, NEVER driven in rain, stored in climate control the whole time, 5800 miles. Rejected. If that's not BaT worthy, i don't know what is. In the process of getting onto Hemmings auctions. Theirs works the same way.

That's good feedback. I saw your car on there and recognized it right away. Funny thing is listed my car on eBay right about the same time your car went live on BAT.

BAT auction;

I think BAT is fun to watch and get a feel for the market from another source that does actually sell cars, not just advertise a sellers dreams. A good friend of mine who buys and sells collector cars for a living, has had pretty good luck on certain types of cars that seem to do well on BAT. Specifically, anything with very low mileage does well. Anything that has not been restored and also presents decent does well. Japanese sporty cars from the 1980's and 1990's are hot and sell well on BAT. Restored muscle cars not so much with some exceptions. a 70-71 TA recently sold on there for top dollar, beautiful car by the way. Their coordinators seem to have a great feel for what will sell and for how much. Might hurt a few feelings in the process.

Yup, it’s definitely “auction engineering” they have an algorithm and an image they are building/maintaining.

Must be driving revenue.

The Mustang that didn’t get listed seems like a perfect example of the cars they don’t a lot of on the site.

The eclectic GMC Suburban, with Pontiac power, seems like their type of listing, as well as the occasional stock Nova SS and Buick GS I watched this week....

I'm on the other end of the problem. I have two cows I cant get butchered. Butcher shop I always use is...not 3 months behind, its taking appointments for early 2022! Not a typo. A butcher shop that just opened now has a 4 month backlog.

I am taking them to the stockyards sunday for auction on monday. Maybe I should start Bring A Bovine. Angus heifer at no reserve?!!?!

Yes, some of the commentary on my auction right now is something I could live without.

I tried to list my restored 63 Tempest convert.They would not accept my reserve.I ended up selling it for quite a bit over my requested reserve.FWIW,Tom
