Does anybody know what the approximate rear unsprung weight is of a 63 that has had the transaxle setup replaced by a straight axle setup? Also, what is approximate weight distribution front-to-rear for a 63 that has a straight axle rear and a tripower V8 and a Muncie drive train?

They start of as 50/50 stock if I remember right. I can honestly say I think my transaxle assembly was way heavier than my 9", ladder bars, and coil overs.

I think the only way you'll get an accurate number is to have the car scaled.

the solid rear /v8 setup usually increases front weight bias ..the v-8 cars were nose heavy to begin with..you can get it better nowdays, with alum radiators and heads..in the old days we just ran with a heavier nose..like r-70 sez, scale the car..thats how you really know..everything else is just bs..
