I use OneDrive that way all the time too. I do share directories, and my friends and family can view them without them or me worrying about my life being used for commercial purposes (or worse). I like OneDrive a lot for that. Unfortunately (at least in this case), it seems sharing anything from OneDrive requires the viewer to have a link, which defeats the purpose of inserting an image in a forum post. I can provide a link on the post, as you followed, but that was not the goal. I think it is like picking the right tool for the job. Maybe someday the forum can actually store the images, but then the storage space goes crazy, so I get it, and will either find an alternative image storage site for this purpose or just attach the images. |
