71 GTO looking for. Sold in Denver 78/79

I'm looking for my 1st GTO I ever bought. It was a 71 4 sp bronze,brown, light gold metallic. I sold it to a classmate while I was at Denver Automotive and Diesel college taking autobody in 1978 and 1979. I think the guy that bought it lived in Utah, maybe Oregon. Some of the vin numbers are 242371P105---. Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks, John.
