Default Another "help find my Dad's LeMans!" request

Hi Guys,

I posted this in the classifieds under cars wanted then saw this section so I figured I'd post it here. I'm on the hunt for my Dad's 67 LeMans, 326 HO, 4speed, Mariner Turquoise, White vinyl top and white interior, console car. My Dad lived in Morrisville, PA when he had the car and sold it to my Uncle who lives in Cinnaminson, NJ. He then sold it to his oldest son who held onto it until the mid 90s, still in Cinnaminson. He removed the vinyl top so it wouldn't rust so the car was purchased with no top installed. My cousin is searching for the VIN for me. My cousin says the guy that bought it was local, or may have been from just across the river in PA (NE Philly, etc).

There's a 67 LeMans that almost matches his in the classifieds, and I'm tempted to buy it and recreate his car. But I'd thought I'd take a shot in the dark to find his first. Kepp your eyes peeled!!!!

Thanks guys

Depending on how long ago your dad owned the car you may be able to get the VIN from his insurance agent or old insurance records. Just a thought.

Would PHS have VIN numbers of all the 67s on file or is it something that they only have the VINs of cars that are registered. Since there were only something like 3400 or so built like this, I figured they might. Thoughts?

Cheers
