Hello All;
What is required to replace the standard instrument package (fuel gauge, speedo and idiot lights) with a factory rally gauge cluster? I would like to replace the stock setup in my '67 Tempest with the factory rally gauges. Mounting the gauges seems as if it should be straight forward but what is needed with regard to wiring harnesses and sending units and anything else? Thanks for your support.... You will need a new harness (or at least an adapter) that will give you the wires for the tach.You'll need to run one wire through one of the existing (plugged up for now likely) holes in your firewall along the firewall to your coil for the tach. That wire will have an in-line fuse in it.
The gauges will fit your existing bezel fine. You can keep your speedo. Look up M&H Fabricators, or PY has them too. M&H are mentioned in the Better Business forum. But ask PY first..They have great stuff too. James Fasso james@icvdm.com '67 GTO Conv "I told my parents I wanted to be a comedian -But they just laughed at me"
