Changed my coolant and flushed the system. Thought everything was fine till I got back from the old test drive to discover coolant pouring from my passenger side door near the fender. Going to put the two lines together entering and exiting the heater for now, but will need a real fix once weather gets cool again. Question is, how to go about swapping out my heater unit, has anyone had this pleasurable experience?
Also, final question, who sells the best repair/shop manual.

For good overall car repair instructions, you can't go wrong if you get the service manual for your '67. The printed copy (reprint of the original Pontiac shop manual) of the '67 shop manual costs $39 from PY, part #RPL53. This book will tell you all you need to know on how to repair your LeMans.

The book will also have wiring diagrams and some assembly diagrams, too.

Did you get the shifter fixed yet?

Shouldn't be too hard to get the heater core out; it's certainly not the most fun thing to replace but certainly not the worst. If you have a car with factory A/C then you'll have to watch out for the vacuum lines that control the vac motors; make sure you label them (which is good advice for any "disconnected" stuff).

Ditto on the comments about the reprinted service manual. Really about the only book you can readily get for working on your car. If you happen upon an old "Motor's" manual, they make a good "second opinion" source.

Good luck and have fun....
