The big orange wire goes out to the horn relay and powers up the top LH fuse. The second picture is of the plug for cornering lamps, It would plug into a turn signal switch that has the extra 3 wires for cornering lamps.

I am assuming that is a new reproduction dash loom? We put a repop. in a customer's car a couple of years back, I think it is just an inline fuse for an accessory circuit. I have at least a dozen 68 original dash looms, and none of them have that inline fuse by the fuse box.

I seem to remember a brown wire coming out of the fuse box with that kind of single wire connector that was inevitably almost melted on just about every junk yard 68 I looked at.

Orange for sure looks like the assy lead that passes through the firewall to the horn relay. Could the brown be the in-dash tach wire? I thought mine has a spade connector like that & a fuse. I could look tomorrow.
