I have a 455 TA with a 230@50 duration and 490 lift cam, 400 6X heads, performer intake. The 800 Q-jet has been drilled out or modified. I can't get the thing to idle for shi*. Should I get a new one and have it opmized for the engine. IE I have read some articles about low vacume and having a weak spring setup. Or should I get a Edlebrock carb, go through the hassle of rerouting everything. Any one have any suggestions or know of someone near Hatfield Pa that can work on this?
