Default 1964 GTO Block

I have a 64 GTO block that is for sale. It was in my 66 GTO and pulled it to replace a freeze plug. It will could probably run in its current state but I strongly recommended doing a hone and line bore job on it. Not sure of what I should sell it for but will take offers. The block casting is 9773155. It was rebuilt sometime in the early 70's and is 60 over. I also have the forged pistons, cam, crank, etc. Just let me know what you want.

The motor is completely disassembled, it needs to be honed and line board plus rings and if I’m doing that it would get magna fluxed as well.

I decided to get a 66 block and have it rebuilt to keep the car as close to original as I can.

Thanks,
Pete

Let's see an asking price on this '64 block, you need to price your items if you want to sell them here.

You should also post the engine code stamping on the front of the block below the passenger side cylinder head so folks looking for a '64 GTO block will know the application (manual or auto trans, 4-barrel or Tri-Power)

Thanks for letting me know the proper protocol; I will add some pics and a price tomorrow.

Thanks,
Pete

Default 64 Block

Here are some pictures of the 1964 GTO block, I can’t make out the block code (it looks like it was rubbed off so I guess you could put one in) yet the casting number is there, it is 9773155. I believe the engine was originally in a GTO with a manual transmission because there is a stud in the side of the engine block that would be used for the linkage. I really don’t know what a fair price is for this block but it was suggested that I post a starting price and let’s start it at $200. I’m located in Newark, CA which is next to Fremont, Hayward, and Oakland.

The reason I am selling the block is because it was in my 66 and this is a 64 block, I found a 66 block and putting that in its place.

Thanks,
Pete

Default The cam and Lifters are available too

The cam and Lifters are available too. The cam and lifters are used/worn but in usable condition.

I don’t know much about it but I’m sure I could find out.

There are numbers stamped on the cam as follows;

540
233

Let’s start at $45

Thanks,
Pete

Default Main Bearing Caps

Here are some more pics of the main bearing caps.

They would be included in the block purchase yet I guess I could part and sell it separately.

Thanks,
Pete
