Yeah, I saw that. What's up with this guy???? He gets a high offer of $70k and moves his BIN up $80k. I guess he's just hoping that some lottery winner finally happens to see his ad if he keeps it up there long enough.........

Goofy, just plain goofy!

Anybody want to bet that it's getting ready to go to an auction?

Default Think it's the same car

Here is an ad from the internet for a 74 SD 4sp car. I saw it about 2-3 years ago... Think it is the same one on e-bay now?

Brew,
I can't remember for sure and there is no date on the link I used. I am sure that it was around 2005, right before prices exploded.
Looks like the wheels were off a used Triumph...

Default SD on e-bay

I have been reading some of the threads here on SD's,and looking them up on e-bay also. Last night I went to check and the one you are talking about disappeard with about 3 days left and the price was 225000 buy now at the same time another red one was listed and the bid was up to about 40000 and it left. What happened some one get found out about something. From what I read you guys are pretty sharp on whats what on the SD's I only caught a few mistakes. I did like the window washer. LOL Mike

I doubt that it sold for $225 that but its hard to say with EBAY. He might of come to a conclusion that his $80 was enough and took the previous bid for $80. You never know what happens. I am shocked at the connections that I have made with my Ebay ad in only one week. This guy has run this ad many times. It only takes one person. You can ask anything you want. Even though he has taken a pounding here he might of pulled off a deal with someone that is a collector and is lookin to buy a car instead of dumpin thier money into a tanking stock market.

Word on the street is that he did not sell the car. Supposedly, he says he would now take $140 - $150k for the car (wouldn't we all?). He will probably have it up for auction again sometime soon.

Default 74 SD price

That $145,000 price was buy now around the last of Dec. The first price I seen on e-bay was for $950,000, blew my eye sockets out. All told there was 9 cars sold off of his e-bay sites and it was started out with 0 sold. Nice collection of cars for the wallet. Probably was better than the stock market.

Exclamation

I'd say it's better than a 401k,if I am right and I think he picked that car up about 4 yrs ago for 50k
I remember the fugly spoked wheels that looked like they were on a Triumph.
