The late, great, local Pontiac hero Arnie Tuftland (hope I spelled his name right). Also ran the Jolly Olly Orange 69 Judge, from Luverne, Minnesota. Killed many years ago in an airplane crash enroute to Indy 500 I believe.

That's one of the four dragsters that Mickey took to the '62 Indy Nationals. This one had a single blower for a pair of the aluminum 215 short blocks, one with Buick heads and the other with Olds heads. It's ironic that he had high hopes for this machine, but wound up Top Eliminator with the single engine 432 c.i. hemi Pontiac!

Actually, that's kinda what gave me a flashback...I used to wear those bib overalls, converse sneakers and had a big 'fro..

Fast forward. The guy in the bib overalls is my brother-in-law today. That's my wife in the baby blue hip huggers. The occasion was Easter Sunday, 1974. We were all at the Yorktown Battlefield in Va.
