I have no clue. Never seen it before either. Even if it was a Canadian Pontiac it would have been a SBC. Unless he changed it. I'd like to know what class it ran in.

An Acadian. Looks like U/SS on the window. Apparently had a 427 in it.

GOOD STUFF...
I thought I had some info on file but sadly lost when PC crashed a few years ago.
John K., had a webpage going but let it fade away :-( The Acadian behind one of the early '66's

There is nothing in the 1967 rule book for either class but those classes do show up in the 1973 book, so this is a later photo. "U" class is 18.00 to 18.99 and "V" class is 19.00 to 19.99. Both seem very slow which tells me that this car may be a 6 cylinder. Both classes are also automatic. Side note.... Bad Banana, the car in the far lane, was a local car for me. |

What ever happened to Mike? I saw Linda Vaughn last summer at the Ridgely, MD show and she didn't know either. Once he sold the '67 GP he just disappeared.

I have no idea what Mike is up to. The last time I talked to him was when the car was scheduled for auction. He is really a die-hard Olds 442 guy, and he told me he was going to get back into those after the GP sold. He said he knows Olds, but had lots to learn when he started his GP restoration. I can tell you he was very grateful for all of the help he received here.
But based on that conversation and the experience he relayed that he had with Miss Vaughn at SEMA, I wouldn't expect those two to be staying in touch. Ironically, a few months ago I found a scrap of paper with his number on it. |

My dad had one of those that he was going to put on our GTO.
(Thankfully) he never got around to it. K

Keith, if it's an original and you still have it around, it's worth some big bucks.

67 Acadian. And there were plenty of 66 427s...

I don't believe a 427 was stock in a Acadian. They had shock towers like an older Mustang and without mods wouldn't fit. Maybe it was a stroked SBC?

Had to run stock bore & stoke for Super Stock. Now, maybe later on it ran Modified Production but I would have to read my old rule books as to what you could run in that class.

The 389 was the largest in the A-Bodies. The 427 was for the Big Gals
