OEM battery tray
I was viewing another thread on battery trays for the RH side of the car which made me think of the trays for the LH V-8 side of cars.
I’m not sure what battery tray the ‘64 GTO came with from the factory, but the 65-67 trays had two styles. 1965 and 66 V-8 trays had two flat tabs with a slight outward bend at the top of those tabs. The 1967 tray had tabs with a strong inward bend that locked into a molded groove on the bottom of the battery. Below are a couple samples I have showing the 1965-66 battery tray. A must for an Unrestored Survivor 65-66.

This is the tray that superseded the 65-66 style.
Typical found on all the 1967 V-8 Tempest Series cars. Different tabs.
