Default aftermarket part

Do you think this could be an indicator of a aftermarket or Chinese part?

QC was apparently smoking a cigarette on that one.

Judging by the spellings in many of the “For Sale” ads I read I would say there is a good chance that was stamped in the USA.

While I doubt that the part was made here, almost all things from China are designed here. For the most part when I see stuff like that in for sale ads I attribute it to spellcheck. Heck, half the time I type stuff here it comes out wrong and I need to proof read. But for that to get past design and QC is terrible .

Brakes my hart to sea this!

The jab joke between designers and QA was always "meets spec!".

No spec, can't blame QA!

How about "loose" instead of "lose". I see that one ALL the time. If I see it one more time I'm going to loose my mind.

genuine Camero mustard cylinder cap

And yes, GM official literature and diagrams refer to the Camero, and other spelling errors.

Also, I think Chinese may read downwards, so pic is Chinese. I have seen identical US part, though it looked more like that one once turned.

Anyways, back too it. Gotta go sort my new Elderbrock since the Rodchester needed rebuilt. Now it'll have matching crome rocket covers to.

If anyone is interested in seeing how items such as brake rotors, brake shoes, radiator hoses, oil filters and other parts we use for our cars, go to the Facebook page "Pakistani Truck". I'm astounded by what I see.

Use of "needs rebuilt" instead of "needs a rebuild" or "needs to be rebuilt".
