Default early tex smith hotrod

Does anyone remember the roadster that tex smith built when working for Hot Rod magazine? Not the XR6. this was more of a T bucket style car. It had a bolted together aluminum frame, radiator in the back and a brand new Pontiac tripower engine. I think it was a 348 HP version. He was trying to make the ultimate low weight hotrod. Any way of finding out when it was published?

I started reading Hot Rod somewhere around 1959 and I was already a Pontiac fan back then. My dad's car was a '59 Catalina that I first started driving in.
