I have the original '64 Heavy Duty frame under my '64 GTO convertible.

I have lots of old photos of it, if I can locate the pix I can try to compare the Craigslist frame.

Easiest way to identify the frame is by frame p/n stamped on the side of the LH frame rail behind the rear wheel.

Mine is 9773002, the Pontiac assigned p/n. There was an alternate Chevy p/n used in '64 also. Late in the year, Pontiac issued a revised Heavy Duty frame with p/n 9777047.

I have texted the Seller to see if he can provide the stamped p/n.

From his pix, it looks to me that the brake and/or fuel lines are running along the RH frame rail. The V8 arrangement was to run the lines along the LH frame rail but I'm thinking the 6 cyl model may have run the lines on the RH side.

If so, it could still be a "correct" frame for an early '64 GTO convertible, just not original to a GTO. You could get the base 6 cyl engine in a Tempest Custom Convertible or Lemans Convertible, they would still have used the p/n 9773002 frame (or the Chevy p/n equivalent).

It looks like it has the frame stiffeners intended to reduce wheel hop and help avoid tearing out the rear crossmember on manual trans GTOs. These were service parts, not original equipment in '64.

Good observations. I did not notice the fuel lines on the right. I have never seen the frame stiffeners before either.

its abody, early..but whats the wheel base..could be elcamino..they use boxed frames too

the part number on the frame is a good start..chevy 10 bolt makes me question it and gives me the idea it may be elcamino by the pics..its hard to get real visual ques on it

small trans mounts mean 64-66..has 64-66 rear springs too..

That's a 12 bolt Chevy rear ?

The Chevy V8 would have fuel-lines on that side also

There is a date code on the frame in area with part number also

The rear is worth at least $500.00

the rear in the '64 roller chasis is a Chevy 8.2 10 bolt. Note the bolt at the top center of the cover.

The rear cover used on the Chevy 8.2 10 bolt was the first common GM rear to use a splash lip style cover. Splash lip style rear covers were also used on '65-72 Chevy 12 bolts, & on some styles of '71+ 8.5 rears. All 3 style splash lip covers are distinct to each style of r/e housing.
