Default 65 Alternator Ground Stud Cap

Good morning. Just wondering if there would be any interest in this correct plastic cap for your 65 GTO's? Definitely NOT correct for the 64, but could be for the 66. I don't know on the later one. Anyone can chime in. Cost should be around $10 shipped. If any interest, please post or PM. I will check at the post office Monday to see what is the cheapest way to ship.

I will add that if your alternator has been professionally restored, the original nut and washer on this stud may have been replaced. The plastic cap is a tight friction fit. It does not screw on. The newer modern nut is physically a little larger. An original nut or one the same size is necessary.

Everyone stay safe!!!!

"Bill"!

Hi Bill,

Curious, is that a factory cap from assembly line, or a reproduction?

Thanks!

Chris

Bill,

OK, thanks.

Your repop does look a little different from OEM.

My 65 still has its cap.

Two OEM spares also.

Thank you and be Safe, Chris.
