Default Some photos after a quick engine compartment washing...

Here you can see the faint firewall markings... 223, Black and G matching the trim tag.

good-gosh-amighty

Mr.Lucky-Ducky

Rex doesn't even look old enough to have bought a new car in 67.
Guess he took care of himself as well as he did of the car .

Imagine the driver seat never came forward from the furthest back position either.

And the original Black Plates is just icing on the cake.
Has it been registered as a non-op or is it out of the system?

He really doesn't, he looks very young for his age.
He sure did.

Probably not, he's probably 6' 3'' I'm guessing.

Yes, nice to have the original plates to the car.
Yes, non-op all these years. I too left it on non-op until I get it roadworthy again.

Coolest thread I've seen in a long, long time. Haven't seen an original find like this since about 1980. What an absolute TIME CAPSULE. Glad it fell into the right hands. Keep us updated!

That's a distributor vacuum advance valve. In '67, only Calif cars with A.I.R. and manual trans got them.

I know of a survivor California A.I.R. H.O. convertible near me. Another low miles four speed car loaded with options that has been parked and garaged since the 80's. I wish I could get my hands on that one.
The pictures that "428ho4spd" has posted are of real interest to me because I'm finishing the final engine bay details on a 4spd. H.O. restoration for a customer. They are much appreciated!
BTW, my GTO is Signet Gold/Black car, so post away on those pictures please!!

I got only one original set, or should I say, what's left of them!
Pretty sure these were in his pocket every day for 52 years.

There was another set of copies wired to the core support that were well tarnished, but appeared unused. They actually cleaned up well.

Default License plate frame.

Found this frame on eBay which was where the car was originally delivered to. It must have been a dealer trade to Lee Pontiac in Davis where it was sold new. Now I need to find one of those for the other plate.
