Talking Mr. Winkles.

I'm glad he has been able to find some free time to post here. He's probably been very busy with getting the new Viper into production. I had the pleasure of working with both new cars at the New York auto show.

Probably not.
First talked about in post 3232, bid to $60,099, reserve not met ($95,000 BIN). Listed again, bid to $74,999, still reserve not met ($93,000 BIN). Strange, guy only bids $20,000 first time, high bid second time, no bids this time. Other high guy has bid all auctions.
Funny, he's listed 2V87X4N111465 as VIN this time.

Yes, and no. It's a Formula, so it should be a U, as listed in the first two auctions. This time it's listed as a V, or Trans Am. The rest of letters/numbers in VIN are the same.

Didn't look at that.

Just looked at X and the 6 digits of VIN.

Brew- it will be worth the wait! It is a great article. The author does a good job of tryng to convey how detailed the restoration was, but it just doesn't compre to seeing your car in person. It really is a work of art.

Thanks for all the nice comments on the article. The original story was longer and had more information on both cars (twinns). Thats when it was a cover story and had much more detail. Not sure why Tom saw to change it up the last review but its a cool thing to get the cars in know matter what form.
I'll be in Iron Mountain today and will be hitting a book story since I need a few extra copies any who.
Cheers guys and thanks again,
Brewster

Got mine today as well.

Why no mention on the cover? I thought that was a bit odd.
