Lexan to glass windsheild
I have the car (67 GTO) tore apart to paint it over the winter. I am thinking of going with a glass windshield instead of new lexan. Using 3/16 lexan now. Tired of dealing with how easy lexan scratches. Anyone know off hand how much more a glass windshield weighs vrs lexan?
If we are talking 10lbs I probably will do it. Thanks |

Come to think about it, I think it was 22 pounds for both front and rear glass

I just swapped out the glass windshield in my 67 Tempest for Lexan. I didn't weigh them, but I would guess a 10-15 lb difference.

On my 70 Skylark the stock windshield is 29lbs.
I don't have it in hand but Optic Armor says their 3/16" unit is 12lbs |
