Default 74 front bumper

what does the finish on the black strip and front bumperettes on 74 trans am suppose to look like? mine has had some repairs done to it so its been primed and painted low gloss black its now as slick as the rest of the car is that right ? it just dont look right to me... thanks for help

not sure on the level of gloss or the lack there of, but they look wrong in my opinion when they have a shiny gloss. I would test some SEM Landau Black as it's good quality paint and really close to the finish on many of the GM vinyl/flexible parts that had more of a sheen to the finish than gloss. Here is a pic of the finish on the wheel I redid with that SEM paint, no clear was used after the SEM.

thats the same paint i used on my bumper , is that the way they looked when new? it just dont look like rubber , looks painted, but maybe thats how they were ? does anyone have a good close up picture ?

thanks for link it answers my question, mine looks about the same. i thought it should look more like a rubber finish
