Most 200-4r tranny's I've seen for sale are north of $500 for just the cores. They are getting harder and harder to come by. The 700-4r trans are a dime a dozen, but the 200's are harder to find and in demand. I only know because my 200-4r went out in my grand prix and have been looking for either a rebuilt or a rebuilder to get it fixed.

Geez, why not go 4L80 with GM gasoline converter, and be without worry?

I agree. 200R4's are so 25 years ago. And 700's are even worse.

I have an Extreme Automatics stage 2 and Tri Shield converter that I would sell. It would need to get looked at though. Not sure the value or what it would cost to ship it.

I run a stage 3 " Raptor"( 500 hp ) behind my 455 HO. PATC does make a mega raptor. These are great transmissions when built and are easy upgrade WITHOUT electronics, NO Adapter, Stock cross member... and drive shaft in most cases.

This car will NEVER be raced,it is being setup so the owner and wife can drive it,he just wants a reliable OD trans. The engine in reality will be about 500 HP.Might not ever see 3000 RPMs.Tom

BTW you can convert a 4L80E to full manual, if you don't want electronics, and you can buy the black box form transmissions shops that also eliminates the ECM for under $200 see link: https://www.google.com/search?q=4l80...hrome&ie=UTF-8 |
