Default IE 11? Good or Not to Keep.....

or make the switch to another browser. What do you think? I'm not a savvy as most of you to these other internet browsers.

My main reason is I see YouTube won't support IE 11 in the very near future. Like most I use YouTube a lot for "How To" info and music. I don't use Google due to them saving your info when you browse the internet on Chrome.... as they6 do on YouTube. So my option is MS Edge or Mozilla Firefox.

I'm leaning towards Edge as it is by Microsoft and safer than IE 11... according to MS. Has anyone had any problems with Edge? And my other reason is I don't want to lose my links in Favorites I have saved. And I'm not sure if I can move my Favorite links to Firefox or not.

I ditched all Microsoft stuff years ago. I was using either Chrome or Firefox, but switched to Brave about 6 months ago. If you switch browsers, you can export your favorites and then import them to your new browser.

I read their info Mike and it sounds very good. I'll probably install it tomorrow and give some feedback here.

Thanks for the link.

I use Firefox as well, and have no reason to change. I will not use Chrome or anything associated with Google if I don't have to. I use Start Page as my search engine, has better privacy than a lot of other search engines.

I made the move to Brave this morning. So far I like it but can't figure out how to keep My Favorites list showing on the left side of the screen. All were imported from IE all jumbled up. Tho I did find a Microsoft folder with them in the order I want that I want to keep and show. How do I sort our this mess?

Darth, from what I've read and see no Ad Block is needed. Brave seems to be very protective.

I might try Edge and Firefox soon to check them out.

Edit....
In the 20 minutes I was just on Brave, it blocked 141 Ads and Trackers. Not bad at all.

I'm transitioning from Chrome to Firefox based on the recommendations here ... usually takes me a couple of months to start trusting a new browser .. I import all my stuff from the previous browser and then finally drop the old when I feel comfortable with the new one.

Dataway, give Brave a shot. If you don't like it it's easy to uninstall. I'll give you something to do up there in the "cold" country, other than chasing that rabbit around the house. LOL
