RA Manifolds D Port

3 studs one side 2 studs and bolt boss on other

Not sure what you mean by a bolt boss on the 2 studded manifold. Is it tapped or is it just a casting?

But yes, the original RA manifolds on my car have 3 studs on the passenger side and 2 studs on the driver side. I assume the factory did that for more starter clearance, but looking at it, it appears to me there is plenty of room for a 3rd stud. Maybe the bean counters were trying to save a couple pennies :shrug:

2 studs are not 180 apart
3 boss is an enclosed "u"
