'67 Catalina
Ok, In 1967 Pontiac built 5,633 Catalina 2 door sedans(post car). I have never seen one nor have I ever even seen a picture of one. Has anyone here? I would like to see some pictures If anybody has any. Thanks.

Too bad they were too far gone Mark. Those sound like they would have been fun. I was really hoping somebody might have some pictures. I think finding one will be my next quest after I get the Bonneville done.

I would love to find one with a 428 HO. I know there was a similar '68 as equipped about 3.5 years ago out of PA.

I looked at one (via photos) in 2005 or so, it had 428 emblems on the fenders, so I sent for the PHS, which I still have somewhere, and found it was a 400 2bbl car. I didn't end up buying it, but it is still the only one I've had a chance to buy.

'67 Catalina 2 dr. sedan
I have one-originally came from somewhere other than central N.Y. where I live, as it was rust free in 1989 or '90 when I bought it. I drove it as a summer toy for 5 years- had alot of fun with it. It had a 389 2 bbl. in it when I bought it, so the motor had been replaced sometime previously. It was blue, blue interior, auto. on the column, am radio , p/s, full wheel covers and a heater- that's all. I replaced the 389 when the oil pressure got low at idle with a .030 400, gasket matched #15 heads, mild cam and a '66 tri-power. I had to make spacers to lower the front sway bar, as I used a '70 motor and the balancer was larger in diameter and hit the bar. Even with the 2.29 rear gear and mechanical linkage it would fry the rt. rear tire - above 30mph watchout. I used to love shaming all the kids with their semi-hot cars from a 30 mph roll. First gear was good to 70 mph- don't know what the rpm's were at 70, but I'm sure they were up there. It'd peg the speedo in second! I have a 461 cube -edelbrock heads-2x4 gutsram-comp. solid roller motor I was going to put in it, and also have a stick set-up and a narrowed early '60's 9.3" rear. As the floors are bad from sitting and the 1/4 wheel openings are bad , I don't know if I want to get that involved. I have a pair of NOS hardtop 1/4's, but am saving them in case the 2 dr. hardtop I also have ever gets hit. Has anyone used the patch panels available listed in Smoke Signals- if so how well were they shaped and did the w/o mldgs. still fit . I don't know if I want to go that route or put the motor in one of my other toys-'67 GTO, 71 LeMans conv, or 79 T/A. Just thought a tubbed '67 Cat. would be "cool", especially as I don't think the rear seat would have to be touched. What do you all think? I have the ability and tools to do it, but to many projects is an issue. Any comments?

Sounds like a cool project 1Badcat. I say 'do it', but i also know the feeling of having too many projects. Is there anyway you could post a pic or 2 of your 67?

Not a 67, 68 with a factory 3 sp on the column when I got it. Just got it back on the road after 3 years, now has 461 with a 4 sp and a 3:42 posi, 3" exhaust etc, just turned 51k. Next is paint.
