Default one owner 1965 GTO convertible tri power 4-speed

Real busy day today but I did end up buying the one owner 1965 GTO convertible tri power 4-speed that I spoke about in a prior post. What a GREAT car and a great guy that I bought it from. He was very sad to see it go after owning it for nearly 50 years. It came with amazing amount of paperwork and the original window sticker as well. I will try to attach a few pics.

Default AWESOME 65!

Congratulations on the purchase of a great Original 65 GTO!
Please keep it just as is with a gentle cleaning.
I see it has the CPCV air cleaner system so I'm assuming it was possibly sold new in California? Also what is the original mileage and rear end gears?

YES - More pics please! Engine pics, trunk, interior when you are able.

THANK YOU for sharing!

Ok, I see an older post with pics stating it has around 47,000 miles (nice) and maybe it's been repainted?

Yes I will keep it as is. It is really in great shape. And yes to cleaning and polishing only. And it is a California car ordered new in 1964 by 1964 GM specs when the original owner ordered it there were no 1965 spec to go by. I have all the original paperwork when ordered. I will scan it and post it when I have time. The car was delivered in December of 1964 and it has many 1964 parts on it. And it does have the California emmissions

The Survivor's Holy Trinity right there.... 4spd, Trips, Convertible...
I know this might seem a little ridiculous in light of everything there is to get excited about on this car.....but that steering wheel is unbelievable.

Fremont assembly plant build, I presume?

I would like to see any and all original paperwork that you are willing to publish.

Thanks in advance -

My original paint survivor '65 hardtop is also a very early car, delivered in Sept '64. It was built in Fremont and delivered to Oregon. It too came thru with some '64 parts, including the 3:55 posi rear. Trunk compartment is painted the body color like the '64s, rather than the trunk spatter paint. How about yours?

If and when you are willing I would be curious to see if there is any documentation (paper work, receipts) describing what was going wrong with the factory paint job that required the whole car to be repainted so soon and who did that paint job? Were the pinstripes re-applied like the factory style?
Also it would be cool to see a pic of the window sticker on this car showing the break down of options and prices. The Calif. CPCV air cleaners (#614) was only about $5.27.
