Default Cinch Clamp Tools

Around the shop I've started using cinch clamps for most tasks I would have previously used screw clamps. Simple, low profile, great clamping power.

However they are a bee-yatch to remove, anyone with any experience with the removal tools have any suggestions?

The cinch clamps are the ticket for air lines ... specially when you have to splice a reel hose that you put a hole in ... don't get hung up on on the reel and everything else in your shop like a screw clamp.

https://www.amazon.com/s?k=cinch+cla...f=nb_sb_noss_1

They've been used by OEMs for years and are commonly used in air systems, PEX piping etc. Cheaper and more permanent than screw clamps ... don't loosen up because they are under spring type tension when "cinched".

Disadvantage is they have to be sized carefully to the application ... so you need a selection of them. Various types, SS, double clinch, single clinch, gapless etc.

Those look pretty clean. I may try some of those.

Can I assume they are removed by cutting the crimped portion?

Yep ... there is kind of a side cutter tool that cuts the raised center of the crimp ... I was wondering if anyone had any experience with one, brand, type, etc.

No fun trying to cut them off with conventional linesman pliers etc.

Use end cutters to chop the top off from the side. You can also use them to tighten the crimp if it's out of range for the install tool.

Can just stick a screw driver or pick, under the crimp, then twist and pop the band loose.
