Water pump 9782482

Eric White’s GTO reference book shows this casting number is correct for my 66 GTO. I have found some rebuilds and some cores for sale with this casting number. Some have a date code and others do not. Evidently this casting number was used for a few years, but date codes only appeared in’67 or later ? so I need to find a pump with this casting number, but no date code for my 66 GTO. Is that correct?
