Disabling Active Fuel Management on Silverado
I have a 2015 Silverado with the AFM and came across a module you plug into your DLC and disables it. Has any one used one or know if they are worth it. Gas mileage would drop about 3 to 5%, not really worried bout that. If i had more miles i would think about replacing cam and lifters and have it reprogrammed. I have 50k miles on it.

I used a Diablosport tuner to electronically disable the AFM on my 2017 5.3 Sierra. I saw zero fuel mileage decrease, and no worries about stuck rings or oil consumption, even though the LT series engines were far better at AFM than the previous gen.

Is the AFM more of an issue if the vehicle is used the cruise control a lot? I don't have cruise and live in a hilly curvy part of the country .. only rarely do I feel the AFM kick on or off (not sure which it's doing).
