GOT THE COGS INSTALLED!
went to my friend PONTIAC LARRY'S house last weekend and we installed my 3.23 safe-t-track!
the ol cat went from 2.56 pegleg (snooozzzzzze) to 3.23 posi! huge difference in low gear accelleration but strangely no "felt" difference in highway ability! 75 mph on the way over there and 80 mph back! although the speedo reads 100 now at that speed. couldnt tell the motor was reving harder! (stock exhaust). i need to call TCI and see if they can hook me up with the correct speedo gears. anyone gone through the gear figuring/chart and what was your expirience? thanks! gus

the 3.23 chunk was pulled out of a very clean 2+2 cat and we reused the bearings etc. from that car. we put in a new pinion seal from autozone p/n 2043 and 80/90 with additive.

It was a cherry 50k mile chunk , needed nothing. The car is so quiet..it is unbelievable. Cannot hear the engine or anything else cruising. Garaged, low mileage cars are AWESOME
