Default Trans mount had studs??

I was looking in the assembly manual to see if there where actually lock washers used between the large crossmember washers & the bolts that passed through them into the bottom of the rear trans mount. I was surprised the see the manual shows studs! Did some cars come this way? I could see id being beneficial for assembly purposes, but I have picture (although a blurry one) when I removed original hardware & it had just bolts. big washers on the bottom, lock washers on the mount to trans connection.

interesting........
