I have a 94 Bonneville with 105K. It has been a great car!
In the last few days the cruise control has gone out. There is no activity at all. I turn the unit on and press the "Set" button at speed and nothing happens. Is there any diagnosing I can do with a VOM to verify that the unit is getting power, switch problems, etc. I hate to buy a new control unit (or something equally expensive) until I know absolutely what is wrong. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks, Mike |

try adjusting the brake switches. they tend to fall out of adjustment after a while.
as far as testing with a dvom, most of the parts are solid state and you can't test them accuratly in my experience. if you can find a gm service manual there is a section with function tests listed. if yours has vacuum lines running to the control under the hood make sure that you have good vacuum to them. mike
