Default 1974 Exhaust Tip

Does anyone make a correct length 1974 exhaust extension for 2 1/2” exhaust? I am putting the PYPES SGF70 on my ‘74 but even their long tops are too short.

I used Gardner’s full exhaust package on mine, and they look fine. I posted some measurements and a bunch of photos in my thread, starting on page 5 or 6 and continues for several pages with lots of photos. I had to do a lot of tweaking to get the tips to look the way I remember them looking on the 74 I bought used back in 75, and finally got everything adjusted so that it fits and aligns just as it should.

First, you got the EVT58 tips, right?
I don't know where they get the 20" length from. Tip grows when picture is taken, was only 18-1/2" long.

They are measuring the tip prior to bending, probably how I'd do it too.

Yes, I got the longer ones. I was able to compare the PYPES long tip against my original and the are about 2” too short.

Gardner’s system is a copy of the original so the tailpipes are only 2”. The PYPES system is 2 1/2” throughout. I was hoping someone made a correct length extension in 2 1/2”.

The EVT58 seems to be still available for 74-75 Firebird. The EVT59 is correct for 71-73. Both work with the SGF70 kit.
In the past,, I have added length to the EVT58 with a short 4” reducer sleeve pipe from the auto parts store exhaust section. It brings the back cut of the tip flush with the contour of the base of the bumper.
