Default Butler poly motor mounts

Anyone using these in a 70 TA? Do they require mods or are are they a direct fit?

I did a search here on mounts and they have an overall positive review but no mention of mods. Also, one person said they caught on fire? That doesn't sound great.

I use them on my A body. I had spoke to the guy who makes them. If they are close to headers, they need a heat shield. I used aluminum heat shield off a new car floor pan. not an issue yet. 7+years. the 1st 3 I had no mid plate and made 700+ hp, Now the mid plate helps them. JMO

Do you think they will be OK with RA manifolds? I have a set on order. Although I'm thinking now a torque limiter like a turnbuckle may be the way to go with stock mounts.

Something like these:

Before the mid plate. I ran a chain to the frame. I got tired of it, and besides that, my car make a lot of h.p. so I did a mid plate. you have to see how close the heat is to the mount. If it is right next to it add a heat shield. If it is a few inches away, it should be fine.

I've had the Butler poly engine mounts in my 462 '70 Lemans with RA manifolds for the past 3 years and I don't even know they are solid. My engine is around the 450 hp/550 lb-ft level, so not too crazy, but it drives nice with them. Haven't melted either.
