Been watching this one from the beginning. Great score on a very cool car. If the body is as good as it looks in the pictures, that thing is awesome. The trunk looks fantastic. Looking forward to seeing another big car come back to life. You got a really neat car there with a lot of nice options. Looks like fun.

That is going to be a sweet looking car with fresh paint and the blank vinyl top. The fastback style looks awesome and sleek on such a big car.
What a score.

Sms Frabrics set me samples of all the interior trim materials. They can do the front and rear assembled door panels for under 1k. I thought that was a pretty fair price. Started removing the dirty/nasty interior. Years of desert heat and fine dust. Found out that it has the power bench seat.

Are the buttons missing for the power bench seat? Weird it wasn't noticed before. Although with all the other options I would have been surprised if it wasn't there.
That seems like a good price to re-do all the seats. New carpet and it will feel like a completely different car.

There is a guy in Needles that has a bunch of old Pontiacs. Is that where you got it from?

I think so? He builts 1000 hp Pontiac motors at his shop. I've had my eye on this car for a least 10 years. Kept my boat out there.

Great foundation! Working on getting the window/motors to work, using my power probe. No luck on the rear window motors.

Looks better already!!! :-)

It has been several years but I think I recall seeing a 67 4 dr Bonneville Brougham? in a junk yard about an hour from here in Culpepper VA. Leon's is the name. I think it was gold as well. The car was in fairly decent shape. he may have some of the trim pieces you are looking for.

I have a Safe Guard speedo unit from a '68 GP if you are interested (did I ask this before?) 67-68 are interchangeable. Very good condition. Needs a good home. $85

Great find on a super solid dry car. The trunk floor picture is fascinating, still has the factory paint and looks like it was made recently and no rust!

Good luck with the restoration and nice to see the car saved.

Thank you. I see you (Mark) have a '67 Bonneville. Have you started that project yet?

No I wish but if I had about $75,000 laying around I would love to send it out and get the frame off restoration started!

I have been gathering parts when I can afford and find them though. Only big ticket items left I need are a date coded SR 428 YH block and a rust free trunk floor. They are out there just need to the $$ to get them. Like your car, mine was never apart and 98% everything with the exception of the original block was still there. My floors and trunk are Swiss cheese compared to yours, I am quite envious.

Here is an old PY link with pics to my car which luckily is in climate controlled storage. Compared to mine, yours is bone dry clean sheet metal.

Keep posting pics of your progress please too!

Thought it was time to see if my car runs. Drained the old oil/filter with new.Removed all the spark plugs , all looked Great. Sprayed some Marvel Mystery oil in all cylinders, left in overnight. Cap, rotor and points looked fine. Installed a used set of spark plugs. Replaced the fuel pump. Poured some gas in carb and put some gas in a Big Gulp cup. Installed the battery and started the car. Started on the first try! Has a exhaust leak coming from the smog pump area. I'm a happy man!

Awesome! Time to get it driving & roadworthy as-is then maybe tackle the interior ;-)

My '67 had a hideous exhaust leak from that same area so I just plugged the holes in the head to fix it!

What is the "smog pump" area? I have never heard this term before.
