Steffs Comp Eliminator pans hold only 3 qts. Dry sumps hold no more than 1 qt of oil and the dry sump pump creates it own vacuums so thats kinda cool.
In talking to Stan about dropping oil levels he say people do drop a couple qts to get you a tenth, but how much do you like your engine ?
This pan fits in a stock 69 A body and has your oil control issues covered. And actually gives you 10-15 HP. Its 800$ and worth every penny IMO. More power and engine longevity, win-win.

Will this fit an OEM subframe ?

Yes, that is what it is made for. Steffs does a lot of Pontiac pans. First thing they asked was if I had a BOP belt drive. Stan was great to work with on this pan.

Not only Stef's but Canton can work with you on special projects. I had them make a custom 15-450 road race pan. The sump depth was increase and added an additional two quarts sump capacity, in addition it has a built in crank scraper and windage screen.

Tim, in the custom shop at Moroso can also make all different configurations of Pontiac pans. We have had numerous pans designed by them that have worked very well with high G loading. To have a pleasant experience, know what you want specifically, and have a time line that's reasonable for a custom made from scratch component. Plan on 12-16 weeks for a custom pan.

Slightly off subject, but I don't understand why fabricated oil pans are so expensive when you can get fabricated valve covers for reasonable prices all day. Does a piece of screen and a drain fitting really make it cost $400+ dollars more?

I called Canton first. They said they could not make it for me until the Covid thing was over. The guy that had all the files could not work. So I called Steffs.

You can get a Steffs street pan for 600$. About right. The race pan has the big kickout under the passenger rail and trap doors.
Heck, you can get some China fabricated valve covers for 100$
Seriously, I thought I would pay more for the Steffs race pan. I think the Canton Race pan would have been around 650$. But they are kinda ugly.

Not the "Maxey" pan I was looking for. Had to have the big kickout, trap doors and built in windage tray.

Agree. Not trying to compare.
