If that question was for me - no, I don't have pictures. I really want to protect the anonymity of the owners, but I assure you the story is true. Both cars are all original paint, unmolested, original owner cars. Automatic and A/C both. I inquired about them about 10 years ago and did not get a response, but they definitely know what they have.

Here's my dad's Warwick Blue '69 Judge ram air 3 4 speed car from around 1975. He had just went through the engine and had got back from the first test ride. He sold the car in the mid 80's. The car ended up selling in the Oklahoma City area in the early 90's. Not sure where it ended up from there. Would love to find it and buy it back.

Your Dad was definitely "one of the boys" back then .
No hood on the maiden voyages was always the big status symbol for - fresh engine.

who owns this car - with the peace sign, mag wheels, and 4 in the floor

No. That was Connecticut were I am originally from. Paid $350 for the car and slapped an expired plate on it, drove it home from Rhode Island to Connecticut very gently as it had no mufflers, and the ex-wife followed me in our 1967 GTO convertible. The original engine was gone and it had a 1972 250HP 7k3 head engine. It was a wide ratio 4-speed car. The body was rust free, but had a few dents and the interior was good. I always thought it was "saddle" in color like a horse saddle, but I think that was wrong. Pepper green with the original reflective stripes that I thought were cool at night when lights hit them. And to add intrigue, I clearly remember the square decal/sticker on the door that said Canada and thought it odd, but didn't know enough about the cars in my early 20's - it was just fast and I liked GTO's. I think the previous owner got rid of it because it had a charging issue and took me about 3 months to finally find - a broken wire inside what was a perfect looking out casing. It was in the engine compartment and figured the wire got pinched when the engine was changed out.

Believe it or not, the '72 engine was fast in that car. I eventually pulled the engine to install in the '67 convertible as its engine developed a rod knock. The second photo is the car minus the engine/trans in my back yard. I sold the car for $400 to a man who said he was going to restore it. The $400 bought me my first set of torches/tanks to do autobody work.

The photo is my GTO lineup looking out my apartment at the time window. 1970 Judge, 1965 GTO convertible shell, 1967 GTO convertible daily driver.

Yep, no hood was a status symbol - meant you had a fast/street racer.

But if you had a big hood scoop, an arrow on the hood (aka Rambler Scrambler), blacked out headlights, and hood pins on your 1977 Caprice station wagon, and had the gonads to run a Connecticut state trooper at night in an unmarked black 5.0 Mustang, well.................. you got an a** chewing from the cop informing you that next time you need to have something bigger under the hood, and a really fat ticket to go with the car. Who knew?

John, we need to get your dad's car registered in the 69 judge registry and then I can add it to my list of people looking for their original family's cars so if/when I come across the car I can let them know.

These are cell phone pics of the old pictures. First one is the day I brought her home in August of 1977. Had a short block with a rod hanging out the side. Second pic is with a friends 70 TA that was packed up and heading to Texas A&M.

I wish we could find a VIN to the car but unfortunately we have not been able to find it.

That is one bad-azz Judge you have.
Thanks for sharing your info and documents with Steve Hoog years ago.
He really enjoyed doing the "investigative/discovery" work back then, and the results.

The Orbit Orange car used in Dazed & Confused movie is also still around.
PY member here in NC owns it.

Thanks!

I bought it in 2005 from Gary Cave, a local Pontiac guy. The car was sold new in the DC area and Gary bought it from the original owner and stored it in his warehouse with 20 or so other GTO's. Gary restores 1-2 cars a year and this car somehow didn't make the cut. Glad he parked it inside. I remember he had a couple Judge convertibles that were parked outside!

Here's one of the "outside" JVerts that was at his place.
69 VooDoo Green Ram3 Automatic

Liberty Blue with Parchment was my favorite 69 combo.
In the 80's and 90's my "plan" was for my 69 Carousel/Parchment Judge to change into a LibbyBlue/Parch GTO - with a rear spoiler. Judge Delete.
Never went into effect - still sitting.
Will be an Orange/Parch Judge again.

Tri-Fecta from Milt Robson Auction in Georgia

69 Black/Black/Black Ram4 4spd
70 Red/Red/White Ram4 4spd
71 Gold/Black/Black 455-HO 4spd

Somewhere on that floor was also his 69 Blue FireBird Convertible Ram4 4spd

He sold all of them at that auction, plus tons of other super-duper cool cars.
