Default 96 firebird to 98-02 trans am

Trying to figure out what all I would have to change to go from a firebird to the newer trans am look. I know I will need a hood and nose but what else would I need. any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The hatches changed, doors, bumpers, tail panel.

You'd need to do a lot. Might just be easier trading.

On a Trans Am, if you changed the front end and the tail lights, no one would notice the rest on the outside.

True. Really the hood and tail lights are the giveaways

Do you think it would be worth it to buy a body for about 150 dollars all it is the body I would need to buy everything else including wiring, dash, rear end engine trans pretty much everything I also plan on making it a drag car like the engine will be an ls and the rear will be a built 9 inch

For a drag car it would depend on your abilities. The Engine/trans/rear would need to be replaced anyway. The wiring could be very easy or hard depending on what you can do. The interior would be gutted in a drag car anyway.

The trade off is if you buy a full roller you'll have more to work with, and parts to sell off. That could be a good or a bad thing.

Good luck, 4th gens make great drag cars.
